Today we are remembering the second year since Tony passed, thinking of him fondly, raising a glass. So often we will think how much Tony might have enjoyed an exceptional, unique charming restaurant or bar, beautiful scenic drive or view, an adventurous trip. And then we are grateful for the times we had together and for our happy memories of such a distinguished and inspiring person.

Two years ago today, you passed. Still miss you and remember our special times together in Spain, Italy, France, US, and home (Sheffield).

I was a Spanish teacher in the Sheffield area in the 60s. Tony had such a care for what was happening in the schools, and became a very dear friend. No matter that he was (then) senior lecturer and I a mere mortal, he and his lovely wife June took me to their hearts. A great academic and a lovely man, not to mention a fine bon vivant! The years passed and we lost touch, but I remember him with joy and affection. The world is poorer for his and June's passing.
