Sandra Burghall
1949 - 2022 | Sheffield
In loving memory of Sandy Burghall who is a much loved and truly missed wife, mother and grandmother. She is and always will be in our thoughts. Sandy was diagnosed with breast cancer early in 2011 and bravely fought the disease for nearly 12 years. She lived a very full and active life, with many close friends. Sandy was an inpatient at St Luke’s 5 times and always received the same level of superb care by the incredible staff. The family would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who were there for Sandy in her final days. We will be forever grateful for the constant care and understanding all the St Luke’s staff showed towards Sandy and her family.

On 23 September Katy and her friend Cat did a skydive from Hibaldstow airport, jumping out of a plane at 15000 feet. Katy did this amazing feat in memory of her mum, Sandy, to raise money for St Luke's. Including gift aid, Katy and her friend have raised just over £1330. We are all so proud of her and glad she landed safely. Sandy would have been incredibly proud of Katy. Well done Katy XXX

On the 18th June Mike completed the London to Brighton cycle ride with two of his friends, Richard and Neil. It is over 50 miles with some big hills. They got drenched during the last hour but completed the course. Mike trained hard for the event and did fantastically well. Mike raised money for St Luke's in memory of his mum. With gift aid and a donation from his company he raised £1350. A great achievement. Sandy would have been proud of him.
