1947 - 2026 | Sheffield
Petra was a loving mother to her three daughters and granny to seven grandchildren. A warm and generous person who loved nothing more than bringing her wonderful family and friends together. There was seemingly no limit to her ability to whip up incredible meals for any number of guests and never without a legendary pudding selection. Throughout her life she was an active supporter, volunteer and fundraiser for St Luke’s and we feel very privileged that she was able to be cared for so well by the fantastic team there in her final days.

In memory of a truly amazing lady, who had such dignity and lit up any room. I was blessed to spend many a happy time at the Homestead (often hoping to get snowed in) and loved nothing more than being with the family and waiting to see what came out of the aga next. Petra, to state it simply - you were the best! From the best mince pies, to the best hostess ever, to the best at trying to control Eric (none of us ever managed to crack that one!) ....... but still making sure he made the right decisions at critical times. You made more difference than you will ever know. To the instigator of the cheekiest impromptu G&T party in an Helsinki hotel, the list goes on. They don't make them like you anymore. Rest in peace.
