Proud Welshman, adored and devoted husband to Dora and adored and beloved dad to Nicol. A much loved friend to all that knew him. A real ale enthusiasts, curry connoisseur and expert dad joke teller. A kind, funny generous and gentle soul and excellent human being. He enriched all our lives and our world is lesser without him in it. There simply aren't enough words to convey how profound our loss is or how much we miss him.

Only had the pleasure of meeting Gwyn once, but what an impression he made. Blinkin loved him - think I told Nicol I was adopting him as my own (if i didn't say it, i thought it!). I have rather promoted my relationship to him to 'friend' but if we had had the opportunity, i truly think this is what we'd have been! Huge love Nicol & Dora xxx

Dora and Nicol, so sad for your loss, we have been socializing over the years with our many friends since Linda and Nia first met Dora and Nicol in 1987. Linda was also well supported by St Luke's. Many happy memories, he is missed, RIP Gwyn!

Gwyn was one of the very first people I met when we arrive in Sheffield 16 years ago. From the very beginning he made us feel welcome. He was a proud Welshman with a sharp sense of humor, love for beer and food, and endless supply of funy stories. Through him, I learnt so much about UK culture, often delivered with a mischievous smile and, as he liked to remind us, not always England's biggest fan. 😉 I loved that guy and he will be truly missed! My thoughts are with Dora and Nicole.

Gwyn was a wonderful neighbour and will be so so very missed. It was always a joy to bump into him, and he always took the time to say hello. Gwyn was the most wonderful neighbour you could wish for. Kind and gentle, he always gave us a neighbourly wave on his way to the shop. You didn’t need to watch the game when Wales were playing Rugby, you could tell how it was going through our adjoining walls through which Gwyn’s passionate cheers and groans resonated.
