Elena was an incredible woman, who lived her life to the full. She took on many roles in her life - Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mum, Aunty, In-law, Friend, Colleague, Nurse, Lecturer - each with an incredible amount of joy.
She shared her story of living with cancer, and her life impacted so many people around the world. Through doing so she raised awareness, shaped policy and guidelines, supported others and was a shining example of how to live life in the face of adversity.
She leaves a huge Elena shaped hole in all of our lives, and will be missed every single day.
