This tribute fund for Dave Willett, who passed away from colon cancer in June 2024, has been set up by his daughter Pearl. He was cared for by St Luke's nurses who were amazing and very caring in his last few weeks. He was a lovely and kind husband, Dad, son, brother and friend to everyone that knew him and he will be greatly missed.

I knew Dave as the guy who won the heart of my friend, Helen, and went on to have two beautiful children with her. I felt like his extraordinary ability to be so chill and easygoing was a kind of superpower that made the world a nicer place. And I think he has left that legacy in the lovely family he created and the memories he made with them. What a gift to have known him.

I will always remember Dave with a cheeky smile on his face! He was so warm and lovely and captivated all who spent time with him. I worked with him at Ikon Gallery where he was an honorary Ikonette (the only boy) and then in more recent years at The New Art Gallery Walsall when we worked on Arts Council Collection exhibitions. (We always wanted Dave and Rick!) My heart goes out to his family and closest friends, this is such a sad and tragic loss and I am sure Dave will be sorely missed by so many. RIP Jiffy Corners xxx
