Hi i am setting up this fund for my dad who stayed in St Lukes hospice for six weeks before he passed away on 5 Aug 2013. the staff at st lukes looked after my dad with care and dignity and myself and my family cant thank them enough for all they did in his final weeks . St Lukes needs all the help and funding that we can give so they can carry on with the amazing work that they all do there , so if you are thinking of giving to a worthwhile charity look no further and please please dig deep.

Happy memories if you Ken and Val, remember a day trip to Brid (have pics somewhere which i will post on here when i find them) with your kids years ago, with my mam and dad Ernest and Sylvia, rip old friend x

Many people like myself, attended Ken's 'packed out' funeral after only knowing him for a relatively short time. This is, in itself a tribute to how much of an impact Ken made on everyone. I met him five years ago, when my children started school with his Grandchildren. In that time, he became a regular face: doing school runs, attending plays, concerts and assemblies, even when he must have been in tremendous pain. It was therefore, heartbreaking to see his family suffer such a loss, but comforting to know they've shared so many memories. Ken once told me that he was determined to fight his illness and spend every precious hour with his beloved family - this he achieved, as best as he could. Ken was a gentle, family man - RIP. Love to Val, Kay, James, Hollie, all Ken's friends and family from Lynne, Michael, Oliver, Hannah, Millie and family.

'Dad' you were a very kind, considerate and such an inspirational person in my life and also my very best friend. I am missing you already and it breaks my heart to think you will not be around anymore. I love you more than the world!!!!
