1948 - 2020 | SHEFFIELD
Pete & Shelia , were great neighbours to my parents for many years, which is how I was fortunate enough to get to know them. They were both big supporters of the owls and motor racing , Pete was my main F1 buddy since Shelia past.

Pete and I shared many happy times at the Penny Farthing night club in Sheffield and Saturday nights watching match of the day and then going out to night clubs. He was always fun to be with, and had a fantastic dry sense of humour. Rest well friend.

Dear Uncle Peter, Thank you for your kindness, wonderful sense of humour, warm gestures and patience with Lottie and Daniel. You always asked how everyone else was rather than put yourself first. Such a positive outlook on life even though you had some extremely tough times. We hope to visit your favourite places in Cornwall later on this year where we will be able to think of all the special times you shared with Auntie Sheila. We will miss your extremely magnificent firework on Bonfire Night meant for a much bigger venue! Love Chris, Joanne, Lottie and Dan xxx WAWAW

Peter and I have been fellow Wednesdayites who have enjoyed the not so many highs and put up the with the lows of being an owls fan. Peter gave me help and support when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was also a very good driving instructor. He taught my two sons to drive and got them through the test first time. I will miss Peter but I will always be grateful for having known a true gentleman.

Miss you x
I met Peter at junior school and 65 years later I must now say a fond farewell. His quick, dry sense of humour, sometimes at my expense, was always bubbling beneath the surface and was a delight. My wife Anita and I remained friends with both Peter and Sheila until their sadly early departure and they will be sorely missed but they will both remain as happy memories for us.

I initially met Peter through working at the same place as his wife Sheila, them both being staunch Wednesday fans meant we were generally on the same page when it came to football matters (though Peter confessed to me quite recently that he had a soft spot for Leeds United which surprised me a little. A great friend who will be sorely missed. WAWAW.

Uncle Peter, as you were always known to me. You have been there through out my life, with auntie Sheila by your side. I have lots of happy memories. I will miss our Thursday night carveries. You made Mark and I laugh in Scarborough, which helped us cope ,when my mum was I'll. I was so looking forward to living down the road from you , but sadly it wasn't to be. Happy days, as you would say . Sarah & Mark xxx
