Martin was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by his wife Deborah, stepsons Alex and Ian, their partners Kath and Natalie, and his four wonderful grandchildren who he loved so much. Also, his sister Marcia, brother Tony, nephews and nieces, all other family and his many, many friends. Before retiring Martin worked for over 30 years at British Telecom where he made lifelong friends. He loved his sports, puzzles, travelling and spending time with his family and he has left us all with many happy memories. He was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018 and received various treatments. Unfortunately, over the next 5 years this led to a decline in his health and mobility but he tried his utmost to live his life as best as he could. Sadly, in September this year the cancer returned to his lungs and swiftly took hold. Martin was cared for at home and received tremendous support from family, friends, NHS and St Luke’s community nurses. He passed away peacefully on the 1st December. We will miss him so much.

    Thoughts

Thinking of you Martin, especially today on what would have been your 71st Birthday. Friends from being 14, I have many happy memories to treasure, special times and family gatherings. Honest and loyal, with a keen wit and dry sense of humour. In later years we still remained friends. You will always be remembered with much love and affection and will never be forgotten. God Bless You. Sending love to Deborah, Tony, Marcia and families.
