Karl (Simon) Holmes was cared for by St Luke's during his illness, who supported him and his family to remain at home, in accordance with his wishes.St Luke's and the rest of the NHS community teams were beyond supportive and helpful, always taking time to talk to Karl for hours at a time and came whenever they were needed. Karl was appreciative and always complementary about the care he received. Karl did not want a funeral or any 'performance' but requested that anyone who knew him should have a drink and a laugh in his honour. We would like to support St Lukes in his name so they can continue their amazing work, it's what he would have wanted.
