My Dad spent the last few weeks of his life in St Luke's. Both the staff and the facilities were without question EXCEPTIONAL ! The amount of love and care they have shown to my Dad and my family made the unthinkable barable. My dad was an amazing man and St Lukes were the only place after he was diagnosed with Cancer that treated him like a human being. My Dad wanted to give back to St Lukes and I can think of no better tribute then setting up this page in his name. This place has to raise funds to operate and its facilities is essential to any family going through such an emotional and hard time. Please give what you can. On behalf of Pops and my family - thank you xx

This time last year we were in Newquay having a fabulous holiday. It meant the world to us to have one last break away with you and the kids now have memories of you that will last a lifetime. You were so brave on that holiday, suffering in silence and even carrying Amelie on your shoulders, we just never realised how ill you were, you hid it from us so well. Rest in peace, now free from pain, our love for you will go on and you will be remembered in our hearts forever xxx

Firstly John we will miss you, you were a very important part of our family - you married my favourite Cousin and remember when you and Val were courting you took my brothers, sister and I on outings to Sheffield Park when we were little, you both showed us kindness when we were little and in a strange country. I only regret that I could not be there to say goodbye to you but have asked Peter to give Val a big hug from me to you. All our love Belinda, Peter and Family.xxx

My memories of my brother John are very similar to my sister Anns as above. We were a decade in age apart but having lost our father at an early age our brothers and sister were the ones who helped mum bring us up. He played a big part in that with love & support we needed so badly. He was a kind and caring man who had a fantastic sense of humour . You will always be in our thoughts. Out of pain now. R.I.P John. xxxx

The memories I have of my brother John are of when we were young and all living at the family home. They were hard times with not a lot of money but we did have a lot of love and affection for each other. John and Walt tormented me and our Sue as brothers do but when the local bullies picked on us John and Walt always came to our rescue and warned them to leave us alone. In teenage years my older brothers warned us to be in at night and warned us about boys!! sometimes very much to our annoyance. Sibling love and hate was always alive and well in.our house and I feel blessed to have known it. Sadly after teenage years we have no more happy memories to remember but looking at the photos posted he had a happy life with people who loved him and that's comforting. Pretty Muddy gave us the chance to reconnect and chat and I was able to glimpse the brother of old with the same sense of humour. I will remember that always
