Mum’s journey was marked by courage and resilience. She faced stomach cancer with a strength that amazed us all. Even on her toughest days, she found a way to smile, to keep going, and to hold onto the things that brought her joy. Her strength wasn’t just in fighting the illness but in finding beauty and meaning in each moment she had. St Luke’s became a real lifeline for Mum. The activities there gave her more than just a break from the daily struggles—they lifted her spirit. Being around people who understood her journey helped her feel less alone, and the kindness and support she found there meant so much. It brought her comfort, and it kept her going in ways we’ll always be grateful for. Mum’s spirit lives on in all of us. She taught us about strength, not just in fighting but in how she loved, laughed, and made everyone feel cared for. Her kindness and warmth are what we remember most—she was always there for others, always giving, even when she was going through so much herself. We can’t thank St Luke’s enough for everything they did for Mum. The support they gave her, the kindness they showed, and the little ways they lifted her up made a difference we can’t put into words. We’ll always be grateful. As we remember Mum, we’re reminded to carry her strength forward and to support others who are walking similar paths. Her journey taught us to find strength in each other and to seek out the light in even the hardest times, just as she did.
