Eric was the rock on which our family was founded. He loved and was loved, lived life well, generously, supportively and with humour. He always had time for his family and friends whom he valued above all else. He loved his work and enjoyed amazing holidays (with wine) with mum and with me and Rob. He had no regrets about his life and this feels like something we could all aspire to. Mum and I miss him, but he was very poorly and we knew that he could not continue. The care, expertise, kindness and compassion shown by all at St Luke's to dad, to mum and to me were exceptional. We thank everyone who cared for Eric and for us. We would like to support the hospice by raising funds in Eric's name. Any contributions will help to make sure that St Luke's can continue to offer this amazing support to people at the end of their lives.

I was sorry to hear about Eric. I have fond memories of him, especially meeting him and Liz at Rodney and Marjorie's 25th at Moulin du Pre. As well as the good food and the sights, Eric made the weekend go with a zing. I am sure that you will be looking to donations for a charity so have enclosed this contribution. I am also sure that in the distant future you, Liz and Eric will shake together as a re-united cruet set in the sky.

What can I say about my Godfather? The most loving, caring, kind, funny, supportive Man. Always there for me. The feelings of loss are overwhelming right now, but these will ease with time. We will be left with an imprint in our hearts and a lifetime of memories. So blessed to have felt your love. You will forever in mine, Adam, Harry and Archie’s hearts. Sending all the love in the world to My Godmum and of course Debbie x x x Liz, Adam, Harry and Archie xxx

Words are difficult to express how important Eric has been to the Walker family. The dry humour, the laughter, the support & the adventures shared over many years. Love to Liz & Debs. Xx Rod & Helen

I was always fond of listening to my uncle Eric’s many stories he told us. He always had a funny and crazy tale to tell us. He was an extremely caring, generous, loving and funny uncle. I want to especially give mine and Simons thanks for the love and generosity uncle Eric and aunty Liz gave us when we lost our daughter. He dropped everything and came to help us. Nothing was ever too much for him. That’s the man he was. A beautiful soul. He’s going to be massively missed. Sending all of my love to aunty Liz and Debbie at this heart breaking time ❤️

Very sorry for your loss Deborah. For the brief time I met him, he made a lovely impression and was a very interesting man. I would've happily spent more time in his company. Xx
