Our dad was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer 2 years ago and received support from St Luke's community nursing team throughout and his last 2 weeks within the hospice. The community team were always there to support dad to help manage his pain and also for us when we were struggling in not knowing what to do to help him. Their knowledge & expertise with the compassion they showed was 2nd to none! Dad thought the hospice was like staying at a posh hotel with lots of praise for all the staff especially the Chef with his food presentation. Dad stated that his wishes were for family and friends to donate money to St Luke's in appreciation for the support and care they provide rather than purchase flowers for his funeral. St Luke's relies on contributions to enable them to keep providing this level of care to our loved ones and family during end of life. In honour of our dad who fought so bravely throughout and demonstrated such strength please donate what you can. Thank you xx
