Betty passed away 30th January peacefully in St Lukes hospice. She was so very brave and tried hard not to leave her family so soon. She leaves a husband, 3 very proud daughters, 3 son in laws, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a life time of memories that will live on in us. We will never forget the care and compassion that St Lukes offered to Betty and her family.

She is Gone You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived, You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she's gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Dear Mum, just sat here at home and felt the need to write to you. We survived some more firsts, birthdays and the family get together! I miss you now more than ever and at times just can't believe you are gone. Jess and Will are helping St Lukes on Thursday and I know you would approve. When does this pain stop Mum,you were the one person who had the answers. Love you forever xxxxx
