We only met once on the occasion of Ann's 80th birthday in 2018 in Sheffield. Through DNA testing of her daughter Joanne Meager and myself it appeared we were related. It turns out that Ann & myself have a common great great grandfather Benjamin Levers (1806-1873), with her great great grandmother Charity Moss (died in childbirth), whereas mine was Grace Hill. Until 2018 I had not the slightest idea that this other branch of the Levers' family even existed, so it was a great pleasure of mine to meet Ann for the first (&, as it turned out, the last) time a couple of years ago. We only met Anne once and that was last year when Joanne and I instigated she and my father Jack (her cousin) meeting for the first time in over 80 years. It was lovely to hear them reminiscing of old times and just a shame they didn’t know of each other or of either side of the family back then. We are so very sad to hear of Anne’s passing and our thoughts are with Joanne and all her family at this sad and difficult time. We remain grateful we did get to meet her even if it is a little sad that it took more than 80 years to learn we had so many cousins. Our thoughts and sympathy are with all her family and friends. Jane, Jack and Kay

I can’t believe she’s gone, Jen. Ann will be so missed - she was part of the gang 💗 I’ll never forget the Boxing Day your mum kindly welcomed me into your family home in Broomhill. She was so kind and fiercely proud of your ‘fluent French’ and ‘grade 8 cornet’ playing 😂. I also remember her asking you to sing for her. She loved your voice, and your singing brought her to tears 💗 She loved you so much x She was the life and soul of the party, as well as being so thoughtful buying little gifts for Sam and Maya, (Sam still plays with the sticky spider toy she gave him at RiteTrax festival) and a loving and devoted grandma. The last time I saw her was in March at the baby group in Nether Edge - she seemed so well, and so proud of Jack. I can’t believe she’s gone x Im truly sorry from the bottom of my heart 💗x
