John (Jack) Godley

Jack was born in 1938 and married Shirley in 1960 and had five wonderful kids, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Family was everything to Jack and he worked hard throughout his life 15 years in the navy where he had many memories and had many stories to tell, to then various jobs as a bus driver, van driver, he was a man who worked hard all his life for his family making sure we had everything we needed.
Unfortunately, dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2023 and was sadly taken from us in April 2025.
This page has been created for us to donate and to remember the wonderful caring man he was and to show how he will always be remembered and loved for being a wonderful husband and dad and we will miss him every day.
We miss you Jack/Dad more than we could ever have told you we would and we hope you are watching over us love you forever your loving family xxxx

My family and I would like to thank the nurses who not only supported our dad through his last time on this earth but also supported our mum, always asking how she was. We hope that the donation from us all helps towards helping another family. You all do an amazing service to the people you look after

Dad we knew the day was coming and you said I’d be prepared you were wrong. I miss you every day and have a huge gaping gap in my life where you should be. I have some peace knowing that you knew how very much we loved you but I wish I could have one more cuddle I still remember that last cuddle it was like you knew it would be our last. I will look after mum as I promised and I will miss and love you forever, watch over us and let me know your there. I love you dad your baby girl xxxx
